How Chemistry is used in everyday life?

Chemistry performs a very crucial role in our daily life. Chemistry dwells everywhere in our surroundings even in our bodies as well. In today’s article, we will talk about where we can find chemistry in our environment, and it will certainly show how much chemistry keeps significance in our life.




As you notice chemistry is present in everything like in air, food, cleaning agents, crops, fertilizers, medical science, and it is highly used for the treatment of various deadly diseases too. From examples, we will clarify the important role of chemistry which is discussed in detail below.

Example 1: As we are familiar that certain essential elements are present in our body like calcium (Ca) which makes our bones as well as teeth strong. Vitamin C is also related to the field of chemistry that is also popularly known as ascorbic acid that means that it is an important factor for the growth and repairing of all tissues of living bodies. Furthermore, a chemical compound like, hydrochloric (HCL) is also present in our stomach which greatly assists our body to break down the food. Various acids are also present in juices.

There are various radioactive isotopes used for the treatment of cancer like chemotherapy is one of the chemical methods used to treatment of cancer tumors.

Example 4: There are numerous branches such as Industrial chemistry plays a major role in the synthesis of fibers, clothes, rubber, and plastics. Analytical chemistry is the branch of science which deals with the study of nature and the composition of various samples and also determines the kind and quality of different components present inside the samples. Nuclear chemistry is the study of nuclear reactions.  Organic chemistry is the study of ions, compounds, and elements generally obtained from non-living things. Organic chemistry study of hydrogen and carbon generally organic compounds can be obtained from living things. Various organic compounds are used for domestic purposes like petrol, gasoline, and methane gas. environmental chemistry study of environments and their effect on human activity.  It helps us to remove contamination from the air, water, and soil. There are various toxic elements are present that affect human health so it is necessary to remove such types of contamination by using different techniques. Polymerization chemistry is related to the synthesis of polymer products such as plastics, glass, polyethylene, and nylon.
