After completing college, graduation, and master's and most people want to apply for the Chinese government scholarship, but they do not know how to apply and which documents are important before applying for the scholarship. Some documents are highly required even before applying for the scholarship. You have to keep them ready even if the scholarship is not announced yet.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR CHINESE SCHOLARSHIP:

Here is the list of documents given below that an international student has to prepare before the announcement of the scholarship as these documents take time to get ready instantly so you must keep them ready.

Highest degree certificate (notarized)

Mark sheet of Highest degree (Notarized)

Study or research plan more than 500 to 600 words

Two recommendation letters of professors are required from the previous institute you attended.

  Passport and its scanned copy

Personal resume

A physical health examination form is required along with the doctor’s signature and stamp. The stamp should be stamped on the form in the way that its half part must be on your photo and half on the form for further clarification it is shown in the picture below.





Non-criminal record from the nearest police station of your area. (Before it was not mandatory but now it is one of the mandatory documents).

All the above documents are essential before applying for the scholarship as without these documents you maybe will be not considered eligible for the scholarship.

STEPS FOR AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT OF APPLYING FOR THE SCHOLARSHIPS IN CHINA:

Step-1 First you have to go to this website, campuschina.org for finding the desired university related to your educational background, for instance, electrical engineering, civil engineering, and so on, and then check the availability of medium of language programs either is taught in English or Chinese language.

Step -2 After checking the program and medium of language then begin to make the list of the different universities according to their ranking and related to your desired department in Microsoft excel.

Step-3 Now access the official website of the selected university and then select your desired department from there you get the list of professors along with their email ids who are currently teaching there.

Step -4 Start to make a list of different professors in the MS Excel sheet along with their email ids of your desired universities.

Step-6 Remember you must have the scanned copy of your notarized highest degree as well as a mark sheet as proof of your last qualification.

Step-7 Now email your professors request them for the “Acceptance letter” as the Acceptance letter increases your chances of acquiring the scholarship by 95-98% along with the email, you also have to attach your c.v, highest degree, and mark sheet. Also, describe your educational background, and your research interest.

Step-8 Remember to email to at least two professors not more than that of the same university and wait at least a week for their response. In case you do not get any response after one week, then send him a reminder email, despite it, if he or she still does not respond, then email to another professor from the same university.

Step-9 at least three acceptance letters are enough for applying for the scholarship. Moreover, according to the Chinese government scholarship, you are liable to apply for only three universities on the Chinese scholarship council (CSC). If you apply for more than three universities by using a different email account then you may stand disqualified as from a different email address you will be using the same passport number. So make sure you do not apply to more than 3 universities.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU DO NOT SELECT IN CSC SCHOLARSHIP?

If unfortunately you are not selected for the CSC scholarship then there is another scholarship in china that is “Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS)”, and many students do not know about this scholarship. But for Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS) you only apply to particular universities which are available merely in Shanghai province. This scholarship is further divided into two subcategories. There are two types of classes in this scholarship one is Class A which is a fully-funded scholarship and another is Class B which is a partial scholarship.

Avoid some things to do for applying for scholarships.

There are some points which you have to avoid for losing the opportunity. Below are significant points which you do not have to do during applying for the scholarship.

Don’t bust so many emails to the professors at the same time.

Do not apply to more than three universities.

Email to at least two professors of the same university at the same time.

Keep the gap of one week for his response if does not give any response then try to email another professor.

When to and how to email a professor for an acceptance letter?

The best time for sending emails to the professors to get the acceptance letter is late at night ( 12-1.00 a.m) (Pakistan standard time)

You have to send maximum 24 emails per day to different professors of different universities or else your emails automatically go into the spam box of the professor and in this way, the professor will not be able to read your email. To ensure this thing otherwise you may lose the chances of your scholarship.
