What is Analytical Reasoning (HAT)?
Analytical Reasoning assesses your ability to: spot patterns, make deductions from given facts, work with sequences and sets, and solve short logic puzzles under time pressure. Typical item types include:
- Arrangement & sequencing problems
- Grouping & set membership
- Conditional logic (if–then) deductions
- Short data-interpretation puzzles
Key Strategies (practice these)
- Drawing simple diagrams for arrangement questions.
- Translating text into clear if–then statements.
- Eliminating impossible options quickly.
- Practising fast mental math for numeric reasoning items.
Tip: When stuck, mark the question, move on, and return with fresh eyes — but practise finishing common question types within 2–3 minutes each.
