Since at and in both
are the prepositions and their usage is different, but some people use the same
sentences with the different prepositions. For instance, I am at the office or in
the office, which makes them confused. So, today we will learn a simple logic:
when to use in and when to use at.
When you are staying at some for a
short period of time, then there we will use “at” let’s take an example
if someone is injured and his injuries or wounds are not that deep so he will
go to a hospital for the purpose of dressing, at that time “at” will be
used. However, “in” is used when someone will stay for a long time at a certain
place. Let’s take the above example if the same is injured and his wounds are
deep, and he needs proper medication and care in the hospital so that he will
be admitted. So in that sense, we will use “in.”
He is in the hospital. (He is
admitted)
He is in the office. (Maybe he has
been working for a long time)
So, it was simple logic to know
the difference between at and in.
